During the tour, you'll also visit a small Mayan family house, showing a little insight about how they live today.  Here you can try a classic homemade chicken taco.  The family also offers a few handmade souvenirs.  If you choose that option, you can also stop and swim in 2 different cenotes (underground freshwater caverns), 1 of which has 2 platforms to jump in from.

It will take you at least 5 hours to explore the Coba ruins from Cancun - it's about a 90 minute drive each way.  However, if you'd like ot explore the ruins more in depth or climb the great pyramid, you're welcome to do so.  We're at your service for the day.  After the tour, your driver will drop you back off at your hotel's doorstep.  If you have any special itineraries or requests, that is fine too - just write your request in the special instructions area when booking.

Schedule:  Daily on your schedule - you choose the start and end times.  We can accommodate any schedule.

Duration: Depending on your hotel's location, it can take as little as 5 or 6 hours to drive to Coba, see the ruins, and drive back.  However, you are welcome to take your time and spend as much time as you like at the ruins.  We are on your schedule.

Bring:

• Hat and Sunglasses

• Approximately $30.00 Cash if you would like to hire a guide at the ruins site.  This is a private expert English-speaking guide, licensed by the government, that can be hired at the booth at the entrance to the ruins.

• Walking Shoes

• Extra cash for lunch, tips, souvenirs, rickshaw or bike rental, guide, and $3.00 per person video camera tax (only if using a video camera).

• Swimsuit and towel if choosing the cenotes.
