Costa Maya is one of the best scuba diving locations in the world. The crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea hold a fantastic array of marine life. Situated just offshore is the Great Mayan Reef, the second largest barrier reef system in the world. If you're already a certified diver, you can experience all types of scuba diving, shallow and deep dives, wrecks or reefs. If you're not a certified diver, don't worry. You can take our Beginner Course, after which you can actually dive at one of our beautiful coral reef dive sites. |

The Beginner Course lasts about an hour, where you go over all the basic skills you'll need to perform scuba diving at depths of up to 30 feet. After the course, you'll embark on a whole new underwater world where you'll see up close the underwater ecosystem of the Caribbean Sea. Beginner Course divers and experienced certified divers will not dive at the same location - the location will be fitted to the experience level of the divers.
Requirements: Scuba diving requires proof of certification from a scuba diving agency such as PADI, NAUI, SSI, etc. If you do not have a C-Card, you will need to choose to take the beginner course in order to enjoy scuba diving in Costa Maya.
Cruise Passengers: Yes! This excursion is available to you and will work with most cruise schedules. Choose the best the start time to work with your ship.
Tour Schedule: Daily at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Duration: 1.5 to 3 Hours depending on which option you choose.
