It is a once in a lifetime experience to visit the magnificent Mayan ruins site of Chichen Itza.  However, it can get hot in Mexico's interior, particularly in the summertime.  This tour is just the thing to help you cool off on your visit!

Your tour includes use of the Mayaland Hotel swimming pool, lounge chairs, hammocks, and changing rooms, which you can enjoy during your free time at the ruins site if you wish. A light breakfast and a delicious buffet lunch are a sure bet to keep you comfortable while you take a leap into the ancient Mayan culture.

You'll be picked up at your Playa del Carmen hotel and ride on an air-conditioned motorcoach or van to the ruins site, where you'll feast on a delicious buffet lunch at the Mayaland Hotel while being entertained by traditional Mexican dancing and singing.

After lunch, you'll take a guided tour of the Mayan Ruins site, including a visit to a cenote (a sacred Mayan well, once used for activities such as making sacrifices to the gods) after which you'll have free time to explore on your own, take photos, get something to eat, or lounge at the Mayaland Hotel, where you can swim in the pool and relax.

We Recommend You Bring:

  • Camera - This goes without saying.

  • Swimsuit - If you want to swim at the hotel pool.

  • Hat - You'll want some type of hat to protect you from the sun.

  • Pocket money - There are a variety of shops in the Mayan village and in Chichen Itza - you may wish to buy something.

  • Suncreen - A must.  Temperatures at Chichen Itza top 90°F most days, and there is little shade.
