Chichen Itza is the most impressive, most well-preserved, and perhaps most important Mayan ruins site in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, certainly within driving distance from the Riviera Maya.  Established by the ancient Mayas in approxmately 400 AD, and maintaining prominence for as much as 900 years, Chichen Itza is now the most famous tourist attraction in the Riviera Maya area. This is our entry-level no-frills tour to Chichen Itza, giving you more bang for your buck than perhaps any other tour in the Riviera Maya.

You'll be treated to a 11 - 12 hour tour for a rock-bottom price of only $45.00.  That's less than $4.00 per hour of entertainment and cultural enrichment!  You'll ride to Chichen Itza on an air-conditioned motorcoach (hotel pickup is complimentary), where you'll have five hours of free time to roam the site, explore the ruins, or the town of Chichen Itza.  There are also professional guides for hire onsite if you want to hire one.  You can also use the pool at the Mayaland Hotel to cool off if you like.

• Suncreen - A must.  Temperatures at Chichen Itza top 90°F most days, and there is little shade.

• Camera - This goes without saying.

• Pocket money - There are a variety of shops in and around Chichen Itza - you may wish to buy something.
