• Sunscreen - A must. Temperatures at Chichen Itza top 90 F most days, and there is little shade. If swimming at Xcajum, only Biodegradable Sunscreen may be used.

• Hat - You'll want some type of hat to protect you from the sun.

• Camera - This goes without saying.

• Guidebook - Your guide is very good, but when you have time on your own, you may wish to refresh your memory about the temples. You may also wish to read about the Mayan Ruins on the bus trip.

• Pocket money - There are a variety of shops in Chichen Itza - you may wish to buy something.
