Playa del Carmen transportation is very easy, with most people using taxis to get around. These taxis are almost everywhere you look, and at all of the hotels. It's virtually always possible to easily get a taxi in Playa del Carmen. Below find more information about transportation and taxi rates to and from Playa del Carmen.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

Almost all people staying in Playa del Carmen or the Riviera Maya use Private Airport Transfers to get them to their hotels and back. These airport transfers are far more comfortable than your average Playa del Carmen taxi, with Air-Conditioning and usually with English speaking drivers. PLAYA DEL CARMEN TAXIS

Taxis are easy to come by. They are usually small Nissan or Toyota type vehicles, somewhat comfortable for 3 people, really squished for 4. Drivers will rarely speak English, but with a few words like cuanto (how much) and the name of your destination you usually will not have a problem. Taxis are the usual way for tourists to get around, except when doing tours, which normally offer transportation as part of the tour package.

BUSES

Playa del Carmen buses run regular schedules and are a good resource for long distance travel. Usually around town people use taxis or colectivos (shared taxis) to get around, while buses are more for long distance travel. See the Ticketbus website for exact fares, tickets and schedules.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
