SIAN KAAN WILDERNESS ADVENTURE TOUR

Deep in the heart of the virgin wilderness you will rediscover the ancient Xlapak temple, one of more than two dozen Mayan sites that have been uncovered in the reserve in various states of ruin. Evidence of habitation dates back at least 2,000 years but most sites uncovered belong to the post-Classic Period, around 1200 AD.

In the Xlapak area you can enjoy a swim in a freshwater channel through mangroves and savannah. Your guide will identify various vegetation and birds while you enjoy a snack and soft drinks.

Hiking through a jungle trail, you will discover another Maya archaeological site before arriving at the Cenote Escondido (an underground river) where snorkeling and swimming is a must! Finally enjoy at a tasty restaurant lunch before returning to you hotel.
