For those people who want to really experience Chichen Itza in all it's glory, or want more time to explore the surrounding village of Chichen Itza, this tour is for you.  When everyone else is boarding the bus to return to Playa del Carmen, you're just getting started! Not only will you be able to have tons of time to explore the ancient marvels of the ruins, but you'll also have the opportunity to see the Light & Sound Spectacular, a show that happens nightly at the ruins site.  You can spend all the next day at the ruins too!

The ambience of Chichen  Itza is almost mystical at dawn, long before the crowds have arrived, with the mist just parting over the temples.  You'll be there to see it.  Do you think you'll be exhausted after a long day at the ruins?  You won't have to worry - you can relax at the famous Mayaland Hotel, named the enjoying the pool, the restaurant and bar, or take a nap in your room before the night show.

• Sunscreen - A must.  Temperatures at Chichen Itza top 90°F most days, and there is little shade.

• Camera - This goes without saying.

• Hat - You'll want some type of hat to protect you from the sun.

• Pocket money - There are a variety of shops in the Mayan Village and in Chichen Itza - you may wish to buy something.

• Swimsuit - If you want to swim at the hotel pool.

• Guidebook - Your guide is very good, but when you have time on your own, you may wish to refresh your memory about the temples. You may also wish to read about the Mayan Ruins or Valladolid on the bus trip.
