The All-New Jungle Maya
Expedition is an extreme adventure tour in the Riviera Maya that
includes 8 separate and exciting adventures. It is a chance to
experience the Mayan culture, ecosystem and adventure all in one
very fun excursion during your stay in the Riviera Maya.
Our tour begins at a
family-owned Mexican ranch, where you'll discover the world's
longest underground river system, stretching over 95 miles
throughout the Riviera Maya. We'll enter the river system
through a cave and snorkel it's super-clear water with amazing
stalactites.
After a 4x4 journey through
the jungle in our Mercedes Benz Unimog adventure vehicle, your guide
will lead you on a short nature walk, explaining the flora and fauna
of the area. We'll arrive at Yaxmuul Cenote, where you can
swim and snorkel and relax in hammocks.
Ride a mountain bike
through the jungle trails, then do an exciting rappel into a
cenote (water-filled Mayan cave). A thrilling canopy tour
awaits you next, with a series of three zip lines as much as 180
meters long that carry you from tree to tree. Awesome!
You will get a chance to
participate in a traditional Mayan cleansing ritual inside a dry
cave, and taste local Yucatan delicacies, home cooked by the local
Mayan women. The Jungle Maya tour is a full day trip full of
adventure, culture, and fun!
Tour Schedule: Monday through Saturday at
approximately 8:30 AM. Exact pick-up time depends on the location
of your hotel, but will be specified on your confirmation.
Duration: Approximately 6 Hours (not including
transportation)
