If time allows you can also visit the Tulum beach, just steps away from the site, or if you prefer you can shop for souvenirs.  Then it's time to visit Coba, this is the largest Mayan ruins site in the Riviera Maya, here you can rent a bike or a rickshaw or a bicycle to help you better explore the jungle paths.

Coba is the only ruins site where you can climb the great pyramid, providing you with colossal jungle views with the Caribbean beyond. On this private tour you can customize your day as it better fits your needs and schedule, so start planning your next trip!

Tulum Mayan Ruins Tour

Cruise Passengers:  This tour is too long for most cruise ship schedules.  We recommend to choose either Tulum or Coba instead.

Tour Schedule:  Daily on your schedule.

Departure:  Meet at the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen.  You will need to take the passenger ferry over from Cozumel on your own to meet this tour.  See Ferry Information.
 
Duration:  10 Hours Approximately.  You can add additional time at $50.00 per hour.

  • Tulum Entrance Fees: 70 Pesos (around $3.50 USD)

Notes:  

  • You have the option of exploring Tulum on your own without a guide, or you can hire a private guide can be hired at the Tulum entrance gate for around $35.00 for up to 5 people. Larger groups add approximately $2.00 per person.

  • In Coba you can hire a pedicab to take you around Coba for $10 or you can rent a bicycle for $3.50.

  • If you plan to use a video camera inside Tulum, you will need to pay a $3.50 USD government video tax.

Kids:  All ages welcome.  Kids are the same price as adults.
