A unique and off-the-beaten-track look at the wonders of the Riviera Maya, this tour will take you to remote areas of the Mayan jungle, where secrets and treasures that few tourists will ever see await you. Mayan Ruins, Cenotes, and amazing wildlife among others. We'll start with a visit to the Punta Laguna Monkey Sanctuary, a natural reserve specifically for monkeys, where we'll look for howler monkeys and spider monkeys swinging freely from the treetops. Here we can also see a wide variety of tropical birds, such as the amazing toucan! |

The adventure is just beginning, however, as you ride a zip line over a crystal-clear laguna, paddle a canoe back, then participate in a traditional Mayan ceremony conducted by the village shaman. Finish off the first portion of the tour with an exciting rappel into a cenote (an open entrance to a vast underground river system), where you can cool off with a swim. Revitalize yourself with a hot-cooked Mayan lunch, as you prepare for the afternoon's adventures.
After lunch, we'll visit the lost Mayan city of Coba, the only ruins site in
the area set deep in the jungle. Here, you can climb the
pyramid, treating you to outstanding views of the entire Riviera
Maya. We'll visit areas of Coba that other tours never
see! A true off-the-beaten track eco-adventure in
Playa del Carmen!
