If you have rented a car, you may wish to drive yourself down to Xel Ha to visit the park. If this sounds like you, then this is the option for you. You'll be able to print out your electronic ticket for Xel Ha in advance of your trip, so when you get there, you won't have to stand in those long lines of people waiting to get tickets. If you've ever been to Disneyland or Six Flags, you know what we mean. Express entry, and also the opportunity to book a dolphin swim in advance - a must if you want to do this. |

Tour Schedule: Daily at 8:00 AM.
Departs: Xel Ha Park is located about 30 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. Most people who visit the park do so with an Xel Ha Tour that includes transportation. These are typically a good deal.
Xel Ha Park Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Kids: All ages are welcome. Kids prices apply to ages 5-11 years old. Kids under 5 years old are free. Kids that are over 55" tall but under 12 years old will need to show picture ID to get kids price.
IMPORTANT: Xel-Ha will not allow you to bring your regular sunblock into the park, as part of the ongoing effort to protect the environment. It will be confiscated at the gate unless it is biodegradable. See Biodegradable Sunscreen.
