DOLPHIN ENCOUNTERS FOR KIDS AND ADULTS
DOLPHINS HOME | ROYAL SWIMS | SWIM ADVENTURES | ENCOUNTERS |
The Dolphin Encounter activity in Cancun and the Riviera Maya is geared toward kids, with ages as low as 1 year old able to participate in the experience of a lifetime. Unlike the Swim With Dolphins activities, the Dolphin Encounter takes place on an underwater platform, rather than actually swimming in deep water with the dolphins. It is suitable for people who are scared of deep water too.

Q: Where is the best place to do a dolphin encounter?
A: There isn't really a best place. The encounter activity is
very similar at all the facilities in the Cancun area, including Isla
Mujeres and Cozumel. We recommend you choose the one that will be
most convenient for you.
Q: Do I have to pay a separate entry fee to be able to
do the encounter?
A: At Xcaret and Xel Ha you will have to pay to get into the park.
At Wet N Wild, the entrance to Wet N Wild is free with your dolphin swim,
so you get to use the water park after your swim at no extra charge.
Encounters in the Riviera Maya, Chankanaab Park, and Isla Mujeres do not
require an additional fee.
Q: Should I do the encounter, or the full Royal Swim?
A: We recommend the Dolphin Encounter for those with small kids, under
age 8, those who are afraid of the deep water, and those who want to be in
the water with dolphins but are on a budget. For everyone else, we
think it's worth it to do the full Royal Swim. The footpush is very
exciting!
Q: Which dolphin encounter is located closest to
my hotel?
