A true Gourmet Mayan Experience, this excursion combines authentic cooking classes with our gourmet chef with a relaxing beach break at a first-class boutique resort. This tour takes place right in Mahahual Village, just three minutes from the cruise ship pier and a few steps from the Malecon (boardwalk). This cultural introduction will teach you about Mexican cuisine and its origins, the indigenous ingredients and the history and traditions behind the dishes. You will enjoy an authentic Mexican cooking lesson, where you will learn to make handmade tortillas, chicken cooked with traditional Mayan ingredients, and typical Mexican sauces that are mmmm...so good! After your cooking class, you will get to eat what you cook (of course!), then head for the beach to enjoy the rest of the day using the beach loungers and umbrellas and full facilities of one of Costa Maya's premier boutique beach hotels.
